Bonding the mattress cores
The right process for every application
Three procedures have become established here in recent years:
Hot melt bead application
Thermoplastic adhesive is heated and applied in bead form without contact. The joining process is made easier thanks to the strong initial adhesion. After cooling, the mattress is ready for further processing and packaging. This process is used particularly frequently for innerspring mattresses with partial adhesive application.
Water-based adhesive for surface application with roller
Here, the adhesive is applied precisely and sparingly to the surfaces using a pair of rollers. The adjustable roller gap minimizes adhesive consumption and reduces moisture ingress into the mattress – ideal for profiled foam sheets where only the tips are wetted. The system ensures efficient processing with minimal cycle times
Water-based adhesive – spot application with gun
This process enables precise, non-contact adhesive application. Our latest low-pressure airless system offers maximum accuracy and cleanliness. Particularly noteworthy is the edge-precise application, combined with a strong initial adhesion.
We offer fully automated solutions for all of these processes.
